Multnomah Falls is definitely a tourist spot, but a must. We came around 2 PM on a Thursday, and it was quite busy (but apparently it gets even busier!). Luckily, the other tourists were patient enough to take turns taking pictures.
You can easily see the waterfall from the parking lot, and it is a short walk to the bridge to take common pictures. From the visitor parking lot, you take a road that goes under the freeway to reach the visiting area.
From there, you will come to the bottom of the waterfall and can easily access a short trail to reach the upper bridge. Tip: Be careful when ordering a drink at their outdoor cart. There are LOTS of bees (and I am allergic to bee stings), so just be mindful of getting too close to the cart.
The trail up was a bit steep for me (since I have asthma), but very doable. It took about 5 minutes to walk up without stopping. The following picture is a shot of the waterfall halfway up the trail.
Alas, we reached the top!
This is the view on the other side of the bridge (opposite of the waterfall). It has such a nice view of the mountains!
And since the trail was mostly uphill, walking back down was a piece of cake.
