When we were trying to get to Multnomah Falls, we discovered that the parking lot was “full” so we continued on to Rowena Crest Viewpoint. This is another place that isn’t in Portland, but also worth the drive. It was about an hour and a half east of Portland and features an beautiful view of the Columbia River Gorge and a horseshoe curve of the road.
There are also a couple of hikes you could do, but we decided not to take them since we were pressed on time. We went around noon on a Thursday, and it was empty.
We’ll definitely have to come back in the future to check out the trails.
