Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life. How perfect is this to celebrate Augustus’ first Easter celebration with family? He brings so much positivity and energy to our days, we can’t even remember life without him in it. We spent the day with both sides of our family, which was awesome! The morning/early afternoon was with Jesse’s family, and then the late afternoon/evening with my family.
I honestly didn’t know that “Easter baskets” was a thing until I saw many other moms on Instagram making it for their children. I even asked my mom if she ever made me an Easter basket, and when she said yes, I was just like “oh…” Dang my childhood memories suck haha but I do remember the egg hunts.

Regardless, I was super pumped to make an Easter basket for Auggie! I didn’t really know where to start or what’s ideal to include in a basket, especially for a baby, so I just bought practical items.

The basket I used is from Wild Creek Co and it’s so cute! It’s smaller than I expected considering how much I originally bought for Auggie, but now we use it to hold his toys on car rides and trips to the park.
The white wooden camera with a brown strap is sold out by the Etsy small shop, but I linked a similar camera here on Amazon.
In front of it is a small wooden teething toy that we purchased from the Legacy Learning Academy. You can use code AUGGIE to save 20% off.
Inside the eggs, I stuffed these bath toys from Target. We purchased the barnyard friends because Auggie has been enjoying the Old McDonald nursery rhyme. We also got these cute navy with white stars swimmers by Cat & Jack at Target for $7! I can’t find them online but I linked a similar pair here.
Auggie is also learning to drink out of a sippy cup and I am trying to transition him to a straw sippy so I bought him this. He’s able to suck out of pouches like these, but for some reason he won’t drink out of this straw. He just keeps chewing on it, so I guess we’ll have to keep working on that.
The little bunny rattle was on sale for $5 that I found around the baby section, and I can’t find it online. I linked a similar product here for reference.
Not pictured: he also received a new rattle as a gift from Nuby! We got the bear animal rattle teether toy in red.
My mom also bought him this learning table from Target, and Auggie is obsessed! If you’ve seen my Instagram stories, I’ve shared how much Auggie loves it and is standing more on his own every day (proud parent moment haha).

Next year, I’ll probably buy a bigger basket to put more goodies in it. Plus he’ll be older and so he’ll be able to understand it more. Hopefully he’s also walking by then so he can participate in egg hunts on his own. We had to toss the eggs closer to him since he wasn’t too fond of crawling on the grass.
I also linked all of our outfits here. Also, Auggie’s shirt is from Zara. We have been obsessed with their new Spring line for babies.
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration!
