Vooks: A Streaming Library of Animated, Read-Aloud Stories

Managing screen time for your children has become easier now that there are lots of educational and fun apps for kids. One of them includes Vooks, a streaming library of ad-free, kid-safe, animated, read-aloud stories.

There’s a variety of age-appropriate stories, and you can save your favorites to your own library. They are also categorized, such as Friendship, Be Kind, Pre-School, Elementary, and more. We found one of Auggie’s fav storybooks on Vooks, 100 First Words for Little Geniuses! We also love Nita’s First Signs, which shows simple sign language for your little ones to begin communicating with you. Another favorite is Monster, Be Good from the Be Kind collection, which shows different ways for the monster to perform nice actions to others.

We’ll use our Vooks app once or twice a day to incorporate more reading activities. Auggie loves books so watching them come to life on the app has kept him engaged and excited. There are also free printable lesson plans and activities that can be paired with majority of their titles. You can find the resources here.

If you’re interested in checking it out, you can click here to create an account. Vooks is offering one free month subscription, no purchase necessary, and then it is monthly subscription of $4.99. Or, you can receive two months free by signing up for a yearly subscription at $49.99.

What other educational resources are you using for your children? Let me know in the comments below so I can check them out too!
