As part of our stay at the Summer Bay Orlando By Exploria Resorts, our suite was located right in front of the Big Kahuna’s Bar & Grill. Our visit to Orlando, Florida was graciously hosted by Visit Orlando, and all thoughts and reviews are on my own. Every night, you could find us chilling at the poolside and eating + drinking something from Big Kahuna. If you are headed there this summer, here are the items that we ordered and recommend!
Buffalo Wings
You can never go wrong with chicken wings, right? A classic appetizer, great with either ranch or bleu cheese. We only tried the hot flavor, and they did not disappoint. They were perfectly crispy, and paired well with any drink.
Kahuna French Fries
Another classic appetizer, and Auggie’s favorite food. One order of fries can be shared between two people, unless you’re really craving french fries. They were thick-cut fries and served right out of the fryer.
Burgers
The Big Kahuna Burger with American cheese was delish. We ordered it with a side of fries and it definitely hits the spot. The Fire In The Hole Burger is also just as good if you like things spicy!
Chicken Nuggets Kids Meal
Of course, we had to order Auggie some chicken nuggets since it’s our go-to take out food for him. The nuggets were bite size for Auggie, so they truly are nugget-sized. The kid’s meal comes with french fries, animal crackers, and choice of milk or apple juice. We usually get him milk but we opted for apple juice on our last night there as a special treat, and he loved it.
We wanted to order a pepperoni pizza but since they order it from The Italian Kitchen, it was going to be about 30 minutes additional wait time, so we just stuck to the chicken nuggets.

The drinks we tried were also made with primarily alcohol instead of the mixer, so you get your money’s worth in my opinion. On my first night, I asked one of the bartenders for their “Paradise Punch Special” which is the bartender’s own special recipe. I asked for it to be a sweet mixed drink, and it was very strong. After looking at their menu, I want to say I got the Big Kahuna Killer Punch— gold rum, coconut rum, melon liqueur, creme de banana, pineapple and orange juice, and a splash of sprite. Let me tell you: one sip and I was done. I had to babysit the drink all night, and I didn’t even finish it because of how strong it was.
Kahuna’s Paradise
A simple, sweet drink made with bacardi banana rum and pineapple juice.
Agent O
A citrus cocktail made with pinnacle orange vodka, orange juice, and triple sec.
Frozen Daiquiris
If all else fails, you can’t beat a frozen daiquiri! I tried the strawberry daiquiri, and also had to get Auggie a strawberry slushie since he thought he could have some of my frozen drink. They also have pina colada, mango, banana and margarita.

Not to mention, there’s the pool view as you enjoy your food and drinks! If you visit, let me know what other items on the menu you’re trying.
